Technology
Thanks to continual research and development of new technologies, companies of the EUROVIA Group are capable to fulfil even the most exacting requirements of its clients. New technologies significantly contribute to enhance employees’ safety at work as well as safety of road users, and simultaneously are environmentally friendly.
Special materials and technologies developed by the Company in its laboratories and used to construct and reconstruct the road network in the Czech Republic, improve road characteristics in driving terms, and stretch out the service life of roads.
VIAPHONE®, the asphalt mixture having a low tire and motor-vehicle noise level, which has been developed by Eurovia France, reduces tire rolling noise emissions effectively and sustainably. Moreover, VIAPHONE® is less susceptible to clogging compared to the drainage asphalt. Its characteristics are suitable for construction of city and suburban roads and maintenance of city streets, through highways, and roundabouts (modern traffic circle junctions) or suburban and access roads.
Gripfibre is a unique micro-carpet with a high content of synthetic fibres allowing to reach very good skid resisting properties and longer service durability. Its setting is quick; the road can be opened for traffic half an hour after applying its wearing course.
Etanplast, an insulation system used for bridge structures, is original because of the type of highly modified, chemically networked asphalt (Polybitume EX) on the one hand, and machine laying on the other hand. The reduction of manual operations substantially speeds up the laying process, and ensures the uniform quality. Etanplast was used in a number of construction projects with heavy traffic loads, for example, at the Confederation Bridge leading from the Canadian mainland to the Prince Edwards Island with a length of 13 km.
Rexovia, special asphalt concrete is resistant to permanent deformations, while simultaneously maintains good fatigue characteristics, and is suitable for wearing courses loaded with slowly moving or frequently stopping heavy vehicles.
Salviacim, a semi-rigid layer (asphalt-cement concrete) is suitable for areas with the slow and stopping traffic, as bus stops, aprons, landing grounds, or industrial operations. The finished structure is a seamless monolithic system having the elasticity of an asphalt mixture, rigidity of concrete, and good resistance to chemicals.
EUROVIA laboratories has developed the Salviacim asphalt-cement concrete for the Canadian branch of the Group, and carried out withstand type tests using special resin resistant to chemical de-icing agents.
The Armovia® system is EUROVIA Group’s contribution in the field of modern trends to use progressive economic structures of reinforced soil to construct retaining walls and bridge end abutments.
Prefabricated structures of the TOM thin-walled arch bridge systems are widely used to build necessary openings through fill slope bodies of roads. These structures are especially featuring the high speed of construction and substandard requirements as to the foundation subsoil quality.
