PPP projects

In the autumn of 2011, three sections of the R1 between Nitra and Bánská Bystrica in Slovakia will be put into operation. The construction of the 52 km long section has been underway in the form of a PPP project since 2009. This work is being conducted by Granvia Construction, s.r.o., a member of the EUROVIA CS Group.

In Poland we won the tender for the modernisation of Track No. 109 Kraków Biežanow – Wieliczka Rynek using the Design & Build method.

A PPP project is a form of cooperation between public administration bodies and the business sector. The aim of such cooperation is to secure financing, construction, renewal, administration or maintenance of public infrastructure or the procurement of public services through the private sector.

The Design & Build method lies in the provision of full services to the customer, from the compilation of project documentation, arrangement of contractual relations, to construction and the handover of the completed works for utilisation. The advantage of the Design & Build method is the minimising of risk for the ordering party and improvement of the project’s time-related demands.

The VINCI Group, within which falls Eurovia France, has a special division – VINCI Concession, which is a European leader in operation of roads being built within the frame of PPP projects. Experience gained can be an excellent starting position for EUROVIA CS to be a reliable and long-term contractor for public entities. Thanks to its regional activities, EUROVIA CS is capable to be a contracting party for public sector not only on the nation-wide level, but also for local governments.
