EUROVIA CS commenced the construction of Dolní Poustevna –Sewer System and Wastewater Treatment Plant
Presently, this place has no wastewater treatment plant, and there are only partial sections of the combined sewer system having a total length of approximately 5 km, where these sewers drain cesspools and digestion tanks of individual real properties; these section shall remain also in future in operation as a separate rainwater draining system. In total, nearly 7 km of sewers shall be built (from that 600 m of pressure sewers) with an inside diameter of DN 250 to DN 400, mainly made of PP pipes, only crossing of water streams and 1,8 km public sections of service connections shall be made of earthenware pipes. The sewer system shall include 3 pumping station in total. Pumping stations shall be built as a reinforced concrete wet pit having a diameter of 2 m and height of 4.8 m, and a dry pit, where the delivery pipe stopcock and backflow valve shall be installed. The wet pit shall be equipped with pumps.
The new wastewater treatment plant is designed for the population equivalent of 2300. Biological line shall be doubled and partially covered. The activation tanks and sludge box shall be in the underground storey of the wastewater treatment plant. The building of the wastewater treatment plant shall consist of the reinforced concrete underground storey (activation tanks, sludge box), and masonry over-ground storey (coarse wastewater pre-treatment, blasting plant, control room, sanitary facilities) with a saddle roof. outside this building are located two secondary settlement tanks, chemical systems.
The total volume of reinforced concrete structures is 530 m3. Landscaping works include the new abutment wall built of gabions with a total volume of 650 m3. The access to the wastewater treatment plant is designed as a new asphalt-concrete road with a length of 200 m, and new bridge over the “Luční” (Meadow) Creek. For purposes of the treatment plant, it shall be necessary to build a LV service line, and also potable water supply service pipe. The total length of the premises fence shall be 170 m.
The construction of the sewer system and wastewater treatment plant in Dolní Poustevna shall basically affect the wastewater management and solve also its environmental friendly disposal in the new wastewater treatment plant.
